A cloud desktop is only useful if you can reach it from the devices you already own, install your own software on it, and trust it to be there when you log in.

Remote workstation questions
What is a remote workstation?
A remote workstation is a computer in a datacenter that you use over the internet as if it were on your desk. At FlashRDP it is a Windows Server virtual machine you open with Remote Desktop, with full Administrator access.
Can I connect from a Mac, iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. Use the Windows App on macOS, iOS and Android, Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) on Windows, or Remmina or FreeRDP on Linux. Enter the IP address and Administrator password from your welcome email.
How many people can use it at the same time?
Windows Server allows two simultaneous Remote Desktop sessions for administration. More concurrent users need Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) client access licenses.
Is it Windows 11?
No. It runs Windows Server 2019, 2022 or 2025. Most Windows desktop software works on it, but some consumer apps only support Windows 10 or 11, so check your software requirements first.
Is a Windows Server license included?
Windows Server comes preinstalled with Microsoft's 180-day evaluation license at no extra cost. FlashRDP does not resell SPLA licenses, so for long-term production use you activate your own Windows Server license.
Does it keep running when I disconnect?
Yes. Close the Remote Desktop window with the X and the server keeps running your apps. Don't choose Shut down or Sign out inside Windows unless you mean to stop them.
