Server backups

Only if backups are switched on for that server. Backups are included at no extra cost on 3, 6 and 12-month billing and cost $5.00 per month as an add-on on monthly billing. You switch them on from the server’s Backups tab. See Back up and restore your server.
The whole server disk, once a day, stored away from the server. You don’t need to install anything inside the server.
Restore points are kept for about four weeks: recent daily backups plus older weekly ones. The Restore points list on the Backups tab shows exactly which are available.
Yes. Click Back up now on the Backups tab, for example before an update or a risky change. You can take up to 2 manual backups per server per day.
Pick a restore point on the Backups tab, click Restore server, turn on the confirmation switch and click Restore. The server’s whole disk is replaced, so anything written after that restore point is lost. Your IP addresses and billing stay the same. See Restore a backup.
Yes, in effect. The restored server uses the passwords it had when the backup was taken, and the password saved in the Billing Portal is cleared. Click Reset next to Password if you need a new one.
Not from the Billing Portal: restores replace the whole disk. For file-level copies, keep your own backups inside the server, for example with rsync, a cloud storage tool or Windows Server Backup.
Not from the Billing Portal. Open a ticket if you need backups switched off or a different schedule.

Your data

Yes. FlashRDP servers are unmanaged, and you’re responsible for backing up important data. Server backups protect against mistakes and failures, but an off-server copy you control protects you in every case, including after a server is removed. See User responsibilities.
The disk and all its backups are permanently deleted, and FlashRDP can’t recover them. This happens at the end of the paid term (End of term cancellation), within 24 hours (Immediately cancellation), or 5 days after an unpaid due date. Copy your data off before then. See Termination of Service.
No. A reinstall erases the whole disk and installs a fresh operating system. Take a backup with Back up now or copy your files off the server first.
