Pick a location near your broker

FlashRDP has two locations: Phoenix, AZ (USA) and Paris, France. Lower network latency to your broker’s trade server means orders reach it sooner. Many brokers host their servers in London or New York, so check where yours is:
  • European brokers (London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt): Paris is usually the closer choice.
  • US brokers: Phoenix keeps you in the US, but New York is still a cross-country hop away.
After you log in, MetaTrader shows the current ping to the trade server in the bottom-right corner of the terminal. Use that number to compare locations rather than relying on a provider’s claims.

Order a Windows RDP

Deploy a FlashRDP Windows RDP. As a rough guide, BRONZE handles 1-2 terminals, SILVER 3-5, and GOLD or above more than that. Real usage depends on how many charts, indicators and EAs each terminal runs.

Connect to the desktop

Wait for the setup email, then connect via Remote Desktop. You sign in as Administrator to a standard Windows desktop.

Download your broker's MT4 or MT5

Open the web browser on the server, sign in to your broker’s website, and download their MT4 or MT5 installer. Use the broker’s own build so the trade server list is already configured.

Install and log in

Run the installer, open MetaTrader, log in to your trading account, then load your charts and Expert Advisors. Enable Algo Trading (MT5) or AutoTrading (MT4) in the toolbar.

Disconnect without stopping the server

When your EAs are running, close the Remote Desktop window with the X at the top of the screen. Don’t choose Shut down or Sign out inside Windows: signing out closes MetaTrader.The server keeps running and your EAs keep trading.
Multiple accounts: You can install MetaTrader several times on the same server. Give each copy its own folder during setup (for example C:\MT4-Account1 and C:\MT4-Account2) and log each one in to a different account.
Windows updates can restart the server. A restart closes MetaTrader, and it doesn’t reopen until you sign in again. Set Windows Update Active hours in the Windows settings to cover your trading sessions, and reconnect after updates to check that your terminals and EAs are running.
