An agency workspace on a Windows RDP gives your team one always-on Windows desktop with a consistent IP address, where each client’s ad and store accounts live in their own browser profile. Logins come from the same server every time instead of from each team member’s home connection. Use it to keep client work organized and secure, not to get around ad platforms’ rules. Follow each platform’s policies on account access and sharing.

Build the workspace

  1. Order a FlashRDP Windows RDP. GOLD (16 GB RAM) or above handles several browsers and reporting tools at once.
  2. Connect to the server via Remote Desktop.
  3. Secure it before you add client logins: change the RDP port, use strong passwords and restrict access in the firewall.
  4. Install your browsers and tools directly on the server.
  5. Create a separate browser profile for each client so cookies, logins and extensions stay apart.
  6. Give each team member their own Windows user account instead of sharing Administrator.
Concurrent users need Microsoft licensing. Windows Server allows two simultaneous Remote Desktop sessions for administration. More concurrent users require the Remote Desktop Session Host role and Remote Desktop Services client access licenses (RDS CALs) from Microsoft. Persistent sessions: The server runs 24/7. When you disconnect instead of signing out, your apps, browser tabs and downloads stay open, and you can pick up from any device.
Your server’s dedicated IPv4 address stays assigned while the server is active, but IP addresses are leased and can change. FlashRDP emails you before a planned change. See IP addresses.
